Reflexology, or Zone Therapy, is performed by applying pressure to specific points on the feet that correspond to the body’s internal organs and systems (Lymphatic, Nervous, Circulatory, etc.)The pressure applied to these zones can increase blood and nerve supply which, in turn, will trigger the body’s natural healing process.
The whole body is reflected in the feet.  The right foot reflects the organs and body systems on the right side of the body, while the left foot represents what lies on the left side of the body.

Elemental Reflexology is a modern version of Reflexology, developed by Mary Jo Ruggieri, PhD. and director/founder of the Institute of Holistic Health Careers. It is a practice involving the ancient art of Auryvedic Reflexology combined with the modern energetic principle of Polarity.

Clients’ sessions are based on the interrelationship of the five elements and what the organ/body system correspond to.  The feet are the most negative pole in the body, resulting in stagnant or blocked energy currents. As a result, small deposits, or crystallizations may form on the reflex zones that correspond to the affected body part.  Working on these Reflexology points will break-down the crystallizations that may have formed,  which the body will then excrete.  As a result, energy will be released through the long lines of the body, allowing it to flow freely. Following a session, a person can feel renewed, energized and de-stressed.
